You’re going to see the Hella Mega tour one way or another

Fans are eagerly awaiting further news on Green DayFall Out Boy and Weezer‘s Hella Mega Tour and while some shows are being postponed, the tour could go on in other ways.

In a new interview with Pete Wentz, Alt Press correspondent One on Gunz is getting an answer about the status and while no one really knows how the tour will be happening, it is still taking place.

Earlier this week, Wents had an interview with NME where he explained that what everyone else knows about the tour’s status is exactly what he knows right now too.

“Now it’s like we’re circling waiting to land,” he reveals. “Nobody knows anything and it’s hard because we really want to do this tour.”

In the new interview, Gunz asks about whether or not the Hella Mega Tour is still out of everyone’s control and what Wentz has to say about it.

“Here’s the truth is that no one in any of the bands has any more information than anyone on the internet. It’s all speculative in the same way that it’s speculative about like, this is opening up then or these sports are starting now.”

From there, he explains the difficulties with arranging three bands of their size for a tour this big and what it ultimately still means for all of them.

“This tour was a really, it was a lot to get it together in general with the bands. It was a lot and it was a big undertaking and it really took everybody wanting to do the tour so it’s not one of these tours where you go eh, we’ve done this tour before. It’s not that big of a deal if we don’t do it, whatever, because we’ve already done it like three times.  This is a tour that is probably once in a lifetime for the three bands that are doing it in the perspective of how big it will be and from the perspective of getting all of the pieces to work together because it’s a lot.”

Then, Wentz gives a new glimpse of hope that even if the tour is seeing postponements right now, it will be still happening in some sort of way.

“I would say that this tour may not happen exactly at the time or when it was supposed to happen or how it was supposed to happen but the tour will happen.”

Whether that means they’ll simply be waiting to reschedule the dates for a later time when shows are possible to host or if it turns into some sort of virtual event or something else, we at least know it’s still on no matter what.
