Pete Wentz went sneaker shopping with Complex in New York City, and talked about some of his favorite brands and designing his own shoes, while wearing Vans “customized” by his 9-year-old son, Bronx.

“Shoes are like art, like the art on your wall” says the Fall Out Boy bassist. “My taste is going to be different from someone else's taste.”

Wentz also talks about his love for Vans, “one of the easiest casualwear. You can wear it with anything.”

“Our drummer, Andy Hurley, wears Vans slip-ons all day, every day,” he continues.

The musician also explains how he met Jay-Z and Beyoncé, as well as being inspired by Kanye West.
