Plague Vendor channel throwback vibes with new single

Plague Vendor are looking to build momentum ahead of their upcoming sophomore album, dropping a new single about a week ahead of its release date.

“Prism” is the fourth track shared off By Night, following “New Comedown,” “All Of The Above” and “Let Me Get High / Low.”

The band look to pay homage to past eras in the new record, calling back to the 1960s and 1970s through a hybrid sound.

Folk-rock inspirations also acted as a strong influence in the upcoming full-length, according to drummer Luke Perine.

“This was the first song where I could use a breakbeat on this album,” he says. “I was inspired by Beck’s ‘Devil’s Haircut.’ There are drum breaks on the track but not solos. It was pure fun.”

The band shared news of the new track on Twitter, along with a sneak peek of the lyric video art.

Even though we sadly won’t be seeing the band on the Atlantic City Warped Tour date, the new album along with a few upcoming shows should keep fans satisfied.

The band shared a post to Twitter a few weeks back apologizing for the sudden announcement which was caused by a scheduling conflict.
