Bret Michaels stirs Mötley Crüe tour rumor ahead of Poison countdown end

When rumors of Motley Crue‘s reunion began circulating, they came along with a rumour that they’ll be touring with Poison and Def Leppard in 2020 and Poison frontman Bret Michaels has a cheeky response about the situation.

The musician was asked about the tour rumor last week on Fox11 and although he didn’t confirm the tour, he gave a huge grin while saying “That is the rumor.”

As previously reported, Motley Crue announced the destruction of their previous cessation of touring agreement in a YouTube video with narrator Machine Gun Kelly who played drummer Tommy Lee in Netflix biopic The Dirt.

The band have not taken the stage together since the last date of their 158-show Final tour in Los Angeles on Dec. 31, 2015. They signed a “cessation of touring” agreement before their Farewell tour began, which means that no member could perform following that tour under the Mötley Crüe name.

Now speculation is going even further as Poison’s website features a countdown clock that is scheduled to hit zero on Wednesday (December 4) at 1:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. ET.

Michaels has also confirmed in previous interviews that Poison will be returning to touring in 2020 adding fuel to the rumors.

The rumor wagon was fueled by the Black Crowes manager Mike Didia’s appearance on the Howard Stern Wrap-Up Show last month. Didia claimed that this Mötley Crüe tour would happen, along with speculation that AC/DC will reunite for a tour in 2020 as well.
