Police release Kurt Cobain’s death scene note to Courtney Love

After releasing a plethora of new photos from Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain’s death scene, Seattle Police have now released a cropped image of a note from the scene of Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994, which was written about Courtney Love.

The note, which was found in the legendary singer’s wallet, scorns Love and mocks the couple’s wedding vows. “Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your Lawful Shredded wife,” it reads, “even when she's a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring.”

There’s more written in the note, but the version obtained by CBS—which appears to be photocopied—cuts off at that point. It has been pointed out that the timing of the note’s release is eerie, given that Love recently released a new song titled “Wedding Day” on the very same day.
