Poppy rocks WWE NXT with 'I Disagree' and 'Scary Mask' performances

Poppy is on quite a run these past few months. She discussed her new album I Disagree, announced tour dates, dropped some new material and was featured in the WWE 2K20 Soundtrack.

The last point is what’s important here. Poppy just performed two songs live on WWE‘s NXT last night. She rocked the house at Full Sail University. She opened the show with “I Disagree” and also escorted wrestler Io Shirai out to the ring with “Scary Mask.”

With Poppy being the pop-metal sensation that she is, it makes perfect sense for her to perform at NXT. NXT is WWE’s developmental territory (short for Next or next-generation) and a lot of the superstars there and on the main roster have metal theme songs or personas. WWE superstars Aleister Black and Bray Wyatt “The Fiend” are perfect examples. The latter’s entrance music is by Code Orange (formerly Code Orange Kids).

Poppy opened the show with her newest single “I Disagree.” No disrespect to our boys Slipknot who recorded the show’s normal opening theme, but Poppy absolutely killed it and we wouldn’t mind it becoming permanent. Check out her performance below.

Poppy then escorted Io Shirai out to the ring and the vibe was incredible. This partnership would be absolutely incredible if it continued. Check out that clip below.

We sure hope Poppy continues to make appearances at WWE shows because she is electric. In an interview below, the chances of that happening seem to be pretty decent. Popp reveals that she loves WWE especially Triple H.

Poppy‘s third album I Disagree is set to be released Jan. 10. You can catch Poppy on tour in Europe in March. Tickets are more information is available here.
