Here's how Post Malone is letting fans donate his own money to charities
Post Malone has been doing a lot to raise money to help various charities that are supporting those in need throughout the coronavirus pandemic and he’s back to it again with a new initiative where he’ll be giving his own money to fans to donate.
The rapper is recognizing that not everyone can afford to donate to charities right now, so instead he’s making $1 million of his own money available for fans to determine where it should be donated.

The decision to make more money available for donating was made after the massive success of his charity Nirvana livestream.
Last Friday, Post Malone hosted a livestream concert where he was joined by blink-182‘s Travis Barker for a performance of entirely Nirvana covers. During the stream, fans could donate to The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for The World Health Organization.
Within the first hour, over $1 million was raised and in total it brought in over $4.3 million. Google also pledged to double the first $2.5 million raised, so they’ll be adding an additional $5 million to the cause.
Now, he’s going a step further by allowing those who can’t afford to donate the opportunity to join in.
“Not everyone has the ability to financially support causes that may be close to them or that have helped them in the past. The fans are the absolute best and I want to give them the chance to give to charities that mean something to them,” says Malone.

Submissions for which charities you would like the money to go towards can be sent to his Community phone number (817-270-6440). He’ll be reading through the text messages he’s receiving personally.
When you text the number, you receive a link that adds you to his Community contacts.
Then, he says “yay:) ur in! & now a message from my lawyer:)” before giving a standard carrier message and data rates may apply response.
From there, you can send over which charities you think should be receiving money from the $1 million he’s planning on donating.
