Post Malone track gets BTS air guitar treatment on ‘Carpool Karaoke’

Post Malone is an icon to many. Even if you can’t name one song, you at least recognize his stage name or his trademark face tattoos. The genre-blending rapper has left a permanent mark, a tattoo of sorts, on the music industry.

During the most recent episode of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, K-pop supergroup BTS spoke briefly about how honored they were to meet him and even gave a special rendition of his hit “Circles”

Corden’s Carpool Karaoke has featured a number of guests over the years. The Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger ThingsMetallica and Billie Eilish have all been guests on the sing-your-heart-out interview fiascos.

Now, it was time for the K-Pop group that brought K-pop to the world essentially in BTS.

Previously, BTS’ SUGA has collaborated with Halsey on her newest album Manic with the track “SUGA’s Interlude.” RM also worked with Lil Nas X on an additional “Old Town Road” remix known as “Seoul Town Road.” But, BTS also have massive hits of their own including “Black Swan,” “Boy With Luv,” which features Halsey as well and “ON.”

Post Malone, on the other hand, has a massive 2019 and continues that huge push into 2020. He dropped his smash hit album Hollywood’s Bleeding, starred in a Doritos Super Bowl ad, toured hyper successfully and even wants to drop a new album this year.

Now, on Carpool Karaoke, BTS and Corden do the usual bit of singing the group’s own songs while being pulled through L.A. traffic. Those included “Mic Drop,” “On,” and “Black Swan.”

Following that, a quick rendition of Bruno Mars‘ “Finesse” ensued. Then we arrived at Corden asking them which star was the coolest to meet.

“Of all the people that you’ve met, in the world of entertainment, who are the people that stand out that you were most excited to meet. Answers include Madonna, Lil Nas X and Post Malone. When asked about what it was like meeting Post Malone, the group says he smokes too many cigarettes.

We’re then treated to an all-out version of “Circles” by Post Malone, complete with air guitar and everything. Check out the full video below.

The Post Malone part starts at 09:37.

Also as you can see, towards the end of the video we’re treated to the BTS boys and Corden dancing the night away at his cardio dance class.

As stated, Post Malone plans to get back int he studio this year and BTS are promoting their new album Map Of The Soul: 7.
