Post Malone talks blurred genre lines amid Lil Nas X, country fan backlash
Post doesn’t get why the rapper is getting so much hate.May 26, 2019
Lil Nas X has faced a lot of backlash from the country music community from his No. 1 song “Old Town Road.”
Now, he’s facing even more backlash. This is because his campaign with Wrangler was just announced. You can see the posts announcing the line below.
After the announcement, many people boycotted Wrangler and said the line was cultural appropriation. Lil Nas X addressed the boycott himself on Twitter.
y’all really boycotting wrangler?? is it that deep ?

Then, Post Malone came to defend the rapper. In an interview with TMZ, he discusses what’s going on with Lil Nas X.
“I think people should be able to fucking make whatever the hell they want to,” he said. “I feel like even now in modern country there’s a lot of 808s and shit anyways. … All the country artists now are rapping too. I don’t necessarily see the difference.”
You can see the video of that below.

The song is called “Fuck The Internet” and has been circulating on Reddit.
In the moody song, Post Malone actually raps about worrying about his music leaking.
“The life that we live is just too dangerous / Paranoid since they been leakin’ my shit / wonder if it’ll come out on the web / And I can’t help all these bitches on my dick,” he raps.
The song sounds absolutely amazing. However, there is no set release date for the song, so we’ll all just have to anxiously wait for that.
In other news, his song “Congratulations” is now Certified Diamond status.
Post’s manager Dre London shared a post to Instagram reflecting on the massive success they got with the track.
“Only 30+ songs in history have ever gone Diamond,” says London. “I remember paying for video at beginning of the year out my own pocket not waiting for label budget knowing timing was very important for this song! & guess what ? now they ALL say congrat-u-fuckinlations!”
