Post Malone joins members of Metallica and Foo Fighters for an iconic jam

It looks like Post Malone has made a few new friends this past week.

The rapper recently took part in an iconic jam session with members of Foo Fighters, Metallica, Jane’s Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers to help celebrate producer Andrew Watt‘s 30th birthday.

Posty has taken part in some pretty cool jams over the past few years. More recently, he took over on drums for an epic Nirvana cover with Dragged Under frontman Tony Cappocchi that was captured by YouTuber Jared Dines.

Now, it looks like Post Malone has taken part in another big jam session. This time, however, he was joined by some pretty legendary musicians.

Producer Andrew Watt recently turned 30 and invited some of his friends to help him celebrate the big milestone. A night of partying eventually turned into a moment that Watt will likely never forget.

Alongside Posty, Watt took part in a massive jam session with Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney.

Although no videos from the night have surfaced, Watt shared a bunch of photos on his Instagram this week. In the photos, Post Malone can be seen balancing a cigarette from his mouth while playing an electric guitar.

Watt previously worked with Post Malone on his past three albums. As well, Watt is currently collaborating with Ozzy Osbourne on his next solo release. Watt produced Ozzy’s latest album Ordinary Man which features a collaboration with Post Malone and Travis Scott.

“I’m doing another record right now,” Ozzy previously shared. “I just started to work with Andrew again. It’s what gets me up in the morning, and it’s what I’m here to do. It saved my life, doing that last album. [It’s better than] sitting on my ass all day waiting for the fucking pandemic to be over. And then you go, ‘Oh, yeah, I am a rock and roller. I’d better do an album.’ You’ve got all the fucking time in the world to make the best album possible.”

Back in September, Watt shared a rare moment with Ozzy in the studio.

“Every once in a while I whip out a SABBATH riff just in hopes that Ozzy will sing along…this time the trick worked!!! SWEET LEAF”
