Post Malone and blink-182‘s Travis Barker confirmed that they are in the process of writing together. The two collaborated back in April when Posty hosted a virtual livestream concert performing a setlist entirely of Nirvana songs. The livestream was for The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. At this point, he has raised over $5 million. He is still accepting donations on his YouTube channel.

Post Malone was joined by Barker, as well as Nick Mack on guitar and Brian Lee on bass.

The setlist included some iconic tracks from the band including “Territorial Pissings,” “About A Girl,” “Heart Shaped Box” and tons more. Check out the stream below.

The duo had musical chemistry during the Nirvana stream and Barker shared what lies ahead for them in a recent SPIN interview.

Barker noted in the interview that he was traveling on his bus from his Los Angeles residence to Salt Lake City for a week-long writing session with Post Malone. They are going to “jam and have fun” according to Barker.

When he originally made his way to Salt Lake City to work on the tribute show, Barker shared how the energy was laidback. “You can’t over-rehearse Nirvana songs or it loses its vibe. So the whole vibe over there has been very relaxed and just whatever happens happens,” Barker said.

In fact, Barker has been quite busy during this period of isolation. “As far as quarantine I can just focus and create. I’ve been very productive and just been on one,” he shared in the interview.

He even shared some blink-182 news. “We actually have a song called ‘Quarantine’ that will be out in the next two weeks. Really excited about it,” he said.

Beyond working with Posty and on new blink-182 music, he signed his first artist jxdn to his record label, DTA Records, a joint venture with Elektra Music Group. He also produced Machine Gun Kelly‘s forthcoming album Tickets To My Downfall and appeared in MGK’s behind-the-scenes video for “Bloody Valentine.” You can even expect him on a new YUNGBLUD track, too.

“I think everyone is so grateful and fortunate to be able to make music and just be alive, seize the opportunities and be creative and make great music,” Barker said.
