Post Malone figured out he actually likes wine so he made his own

Post Malone may be best known for his consumption of Bud Light but he’s venturing into another type of alcohol business with a new wine company.

The rapper is launching a French rosé called Maison No. 9 built through a partnership with his manager Dre London, and his friend James Morrissey of Global Brand Equities.

The wine is made in Provence, France where Post Malone reportedly spent a lot of time between tour dates last year.

The three people involved built the idea after hanging out with Mark Wahlberg who co-starred with Post Malone in Netflix‘s “Spenser Confidential.”

“We started going to Mark Wahlberg’s house, and he has this crazy wine collection,” Dre London says in an interview with Forbes. “Post started getting this acquired, expensive wine taste. All of a sudden, he’s this expert wine palate drinker guy. It all started with Mark Wahlberg.”

It was also worked on by medaled winemaker Alexis Cornu.

Maison No. 9 was inspired by the rapper’s favorite tarot card, the Nine of Swords. The card represents the fear and anxiety revolving around daily challenges we face.

“Rosé is for when you want to get a little fancy,” says Post Malone. “It’s a nice switch up and I have been thinking about doing my own wine for a while. It was great to work with Global Brand Equities because they saw the vision and we got to do some super cool stuff. Maison No. 9 goes down smooth, and you’re all going to love it!”

The wine is being made available this June online and in select stores nationwide. A pre-sale sign up is available on their website here.

Beyond his wine venture, Post Malone also founded a cannabis brand.

His Shaboink brand was established in 2019 and has been expanding ever since.

Most recently, the cannabis brand revealed they were donating 40,000 N95 masks to Direct Relief. They are also making “Clean Kits” available for pre-order right now with a portion of proceeds also going towards Direct Relief.
