For his first acting role, Post will join Mark Walhlberg and Black Panther‘s Winston Duke on Wonderland, shares Variety. The movie is an adaptation of Ace Atkins’ novel “Robert B. Parker’s Wonderland.”

The book is part of a series of detective novels that follows detective Spenser “as he uncovers the truth about a sensational murder and the twisted conspiracy behind it.”

Now, we’re wondering if his new look has anything to do with the film appearance.

On Oct. 6, Post announced he has ditched his signature hair for a new, shorter look.

Posting a picture to his social media pages of the new hair, he captioned it with a plea to fans. “Had 2 big ass dreads. plz don’t stop listening to my music,” he wrote.

The pictures of Post’s new look isn’t the first time the rapper spoke about his appearance. A few months back, it was reported that fans apparently thought the rapper was “ugly and smell[y]” enough to qualify for a lifestyle makeover on the hit Netflix show, Queer Eye.

Since the show’s return to the small screen, fans have been eager to get Malone on the show, per the show’s culture expert, Karamo Brown.

The hairstyle change came after some rough past few months for Post.

In late August, the rapper got on a private jet that was forced to make an emergency landing after its tires blew out, then, weeks later, he was in a car crash and finally, he was the target of a robbery. As if that’s not bad enough, he might actually be cursed.
