Pottermore revealed a disgusting 'Harry Potter' fact that makes us want to vomit

The official Harry Potter site Pottermore took to Twitter yesterday to reveal a “fun” fact about our beloved Hogwarts in honor of National Trivia Day.

It was a fact that none of us were expecting, and while we have to admit it is a bit funny, a lot of fans were left with a gross and disgusting view of Hogwarts that we’ll never be able to forget.

It was hard to pay attention to anything in the Twitterverse yesterday other than Wendy’s roasting our favorite bands for their National Roast Day.

Many overlooked the fact that it was National Trivia Day as well, but Pottermore was quick to remind everyone of this not-so-famous holiday with a little tid bit of information we wish we never knew.

J.K. Rowling’s official Harry Potter site dumped (pun intended) a disgusting fact on fans that left us wondering… did we really need to know that?

Um…. OK.

The fun facts continued as Pottermore tied in the Chamber of Secrets to this shocking news.

Fans were quick to react with questions, comments and concerns.

We have no words.

This disturbing little fact was something that had never crossed our mind before, but now that we’ve been made aware of this disgusting bit of information, we can’t get it out of our head.

In an attempt to cleanse our minds, let’s enjoy this adorable photo of Tom Felton and Emma Watson having a HP reunion.

Fans were pretty stoked to see the on-screen rivals hanging out, and in a new interview with US Weekly, Felton (who played Draco Malfoy to Watson’s Hermione Granger) shared that these mini-reunions happen “all the time.”

“We do see each other quite a lot actually. We just don’t always post pictures about it,” Felton told Us Weekly. “Everyone loves the reunion of it. We’re reuniting all the time we just don’t always post it on Instagram.”

There. Now we feel a little bit better.
