Power Trip cancel show due to member's bicycle accident

Texas-based metal act Power Trip are cancelling their appearance at the Dark Lord Day festival for a weird reason.

An unspecified member of the band has apparently injured himself in a bicycle accident earlier this week and can’t perform.

The accident requires “immediate surgery” and a doctor has ordered the member not to fly. The band shared a Facebook post with the announcement which you can see below.

Hopefully, fans can be understanding of their situation as the band are already planning how they can make up for the cancellation.

“In the meantime, we’re working out a killer surprise to make up for this show in the future, and we will be spending the rest of the month healing and stabilizing ourselves to ensure we will not have to cancel any more shows,” the statement says.

The band’s next show is on May 30 in their home state and they seem keen to make sure it happens. Following that, they’re headed on a European tour kicking off June 7.

We hope whichever band member is requiring surgery a speedy recovery so they can make it out for their upcoming shows.
