Protesters are blaring Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law” over police radios
Protesters in New York City have reportedly been hijacking police radios and blaring Judas Priest‘s “Breaking The Law.” NYC has been a hub for both peaceful Black Lives Matter protests and riots over the killing of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police.
According to US Protests: News & Updates Twitter account, protesters have been playing music over police radios for the past three nights.

Judas Priest originally penned “Breaking The Law” back in 1980 for their album British Steel. The track was named the No. 8 greatest hard rock song of all time by VH1.
The lyrics echo the ongoing sentiment of anger, frustration and the feeling of being part of a system that abuses its power and doesn’t care about you. It’s no wonder that protesters have been blasting the song over police radios. A portion of the lyrics can be viewed below.
All inside it’s so frustrating as I drift from town to town
Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die
So I might as well begin to put some action in my life
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
I’ve had every promise broken, there’s anger in my heart
You don’t know what it’s like, you don’t have a clue
If you did you’d find yourselves doing the same thing too
