Punk legend Iggy Pop performed live with Metallica—watch

There were rumors that Metallica was going to try to add Lady Gaga as a fifth member of the band after the two performed together at the Grammys, but after seeing this performance, we want Iggy Pop to be the fith member!

Pop had been opening up for the metal legends for the three nights they were in Mexico City but it got even more amazing when Pop joined Metallica up on stage.

“Metallica has much respect for the man coming out here to sing a song with us. And we're grateful that he's been able to be on this Mexico City tour with us,” said Metallica singer/guitarist James Hetfield . “Please show your sign of respect and love for Mr. Iggy Pop.”

If you think it's surreal seeing pictures of the 69-year-old punk legend alongside Metallica, wait till you hear them perform together.
