PUP share Finn Wolfhard and 252 others covering their new song

PUP posed an interesting challenge to fans before releasing their latest single, “Free At Last.”

The band shared the lyrics and chords with fans on Twitter last month, urging them to cover the song in their own unique ways without even hearing it.

253 fans followed the instructions and took part, including one extremely familiar face.

Stranger Things star and Calpurnia frontman Finn Wolfhard not only made his own cover of PUP’s new single, but he was also one of the fans briefly featured in the “instructional” music video.

This isn’t the first time Wolfhard has been featured in a PUP video, appearing as lead singer Stefan Babcock in the music videos for “Guilt Trip” in 2014 and “Sleep In The Heat” in 2016.

Earlier this month, Wolfhard and Calpurnia portrayed a younger version of Weezer in the band’s “Take On Me” cover, so basically he’s the go-to for all of our flashback needs.

You can check out PUP’s video below, with Wolfhard making an appearance at the 55-second mark.

The 253 fan covers are also available on a convenient playlist the band put together, which you can check out here. Following the release of “Kids” earlier this month, this is the second single off the band’s upcoming album, Morbid Stuff, which drops April 5. You can preorder the record here.

PUP hit the road for the Morbid Stuff Tour-Pocalypse March 26, with tickets available here.
