Queen will perform at the Oscars with Adam Lambert

Bohemian Rhapsody fans are getting a huge treat at this year’s Oscars ceremony — Queen will be performing.

Adam Lambert will join the band as vocalist during the performance at this year’s Academy Awards.

Lambert and Queen both made the announcement via Twitter, saying they “will rock” the Oscars stage.

The show will be even more special because the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, is up for many awards, including Best Picture. Rami Malek, who plays Freddie Mercury, is also up for Best Actor.

Also, the Academy tweeted in excitement about the announcement and made their own pun.

Bohemian Rhapsody won big at the Golden Globes when it was nominated for only two categories and won both. Malek won Best Actor and the film won Best Motion Picture—Drama.

Lambert, who was a contestant on American Idol in 2009, has joined the band for several tours as a vocalist.

As if we weren’t already pumped for the Oscars, this announcement made us even more excited.
