Rage Against The Machine joined the ever-growing list of bands to cancel or postpone their upcoming tours due to coronavirus. The massive dates saw them out festivals like Coachella(canceled) and Reading & Leeds which is still set to go as planned.

This was Rage Against The Machine’s first tour together since 2011. They were supported by Run The Jewels. Unfortunately, Rage Against The Machine hasn’t played a show on their reunion tour yet, so the massive hype is delayed for now.

The past two days have seen a flurry of cancelations and event bans. On March 12, promoters Live Nation and AEG postponed all of their current and future tours due to coronavirus.

Washington, California and New York have all implemented public gathering regulations, restricting the number of people that can attend public events.

It started with overseas shows with the likes of Green Day, Marilyn Manson and BTS postponing their dates in Asia. But with the rapid influx of new coronavirus cases in the United States, many, if not all, currently touring bands’ tours are postponed. Against Me!, KISS, Billie Eilish, Dance Gavin Dance, Circa Survive, and many, many more have all postponed.

Now Rage Against The Machine joins the list. The band issued a statement on social media.

Due to the current outbreak and ban on public gatherings we are postponing the first part of our tour (March 26th-May 20th) with Run The Jewels. The safety and health of those who come to our shows is of utmost importance to us. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for newly scheduled shows. As it stands, the July and August tour is still on. We will be in touch soon about rescheduled dates.
