The Reading festival is the world oldest popular music festival having begun in 1971. Leeds then joined in on the action in 1999. Ever since, punk, indie, and metal have been festival mainstays.

Artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, My Chemical Romance, Post Malone and blink-182 have all rocked the English yard.

This year, Reading and Leeds is set to play host to Stormzy, Liam Gallagher and Rage Against The Machine. Other notable acts include All Time Low, Waterparks, FEVER 333 and Creeper.

Well rest assured, Reading & Leeds, as of this point, is still happening.

The worry began to come following the massive influx of cancelations due to coronavirus concerns. Thus far, Coachella, SXSW and E3 have all been canceled or postponed.

In addition, Washington has placed huge regulations on public events, as has California and the National Basketball Association has suspended its season.

Reading & Leeds understood fans’ concerns and sent an email to assuage their concerns.
