The organizations are supporting music industry workers, from musicians to venue staff and more in a variety of ways.
To start, they’re both donating $1 million each to their COVID-19 Relief Fund to help industry workers impacted by the economic losses during the pandemic. Further, all Recording Academy Chapters are committing to fundraising in local communities. They’ll also be hosting virtual concerts to crowdfund.

They’re also highlighting the need for Congress to include support to music creators as part of an expected stimulus bill. If you’d like to support this initiative, you can send a letter to legislators here.
You can read a statement provided below.
“Like everyone, we hope that life gets back to normal soon, but we know that won’t happen overnight. I hope you will join me and the Academy in supporting the people in our music community who are lifting spirits around the world. Let us show them how grateful we are for the indispensable role they play in troubled times and in happier days to come.”
