Red Hot Chili Peppers called “worst band on the planet” by FOX News
The Red Hot Chili Peppers were called “the worst band on the planet” by FOX News’ Greg Gutfeld, co-host of The Five. The remark came in response to showing the now-viral video of band member Flea sitting with a gorilla strumming a bass guitar, (via Consequence Of Sound).
“As most musicians know, this is a vast improvement over the Red Hot Chili Peppers—the worst band on the planet,” said Gutfeld. “The ape is better than Anthony Kiedis. By the way, the ape is 45, which is half the age of Anthony Kiedis. Red Hot Chili Peppers [are the] poor man’s Faith No More. Don’t ever forget it.”

Co-host Eric Bolling, however, explained the segment with a different take: “The producers said you should do this story, and I said no, Gutfeld is going to say the ape is better than Flea. [Laughs,] I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, big fan.”
