The_Great_Commission_-_Taylor_Swift

Remember when Taylor Swift asked a metalcore band to be in her music video?

In 2012, Taylor Swift released a music video for her song, “I Knew You Were Trouble.” The clip features Swift attending a concert around its halfway point. What many people don’t realize, however, is that the band performing is none other than California-natives the Great Commission.

When asked how the unlikely cameo came about, frontman Justin Singh explained that he was initially asked to play a character in the video. When the band Swfit’s team originally had in mind for the clip didn’t work out, the Great Commission were asked to perform.

The Great Commission formed in 2007. They’ve since released two full-length albums and an EP. While not officially broken up, activity from their camp has slowed significantly in recent years.
