Riot Fest adds Wu-Tang Clan after announcing Die Antwoord are off lineup
Riot Fest has replaced Die Antwoord with Wu-Tang Clan for their Saturday headlining spot.
The replacement comes right after a video surfaced that showed Die Antwoord’s Ninja and Yolandi engaging in a homophobic attack.

The group from South Africa have also been dropped from this year’s Louder Than Life festival since the video surfaced.
The alleged incident seemingly took place in 2012 and the victim was Hercules and Love Affair’s Andy Butler. Yolandi was heard using a homophobic slur.
Ninja has released a lengthy statement about the attack, claiming that cameraman Ben Crossman ¨edited the video to make it seem like (he) and Yolandi committed a hate crime towards a person because they are gay¨.
He denied the accusations, saying it was just a “fight with someone who fucked with (them).”
You can read the full statement below.
After the video surfaced, Riot Fest issued a tweet on Tuesday saying they dropped Die Antwoord form the festival and that they’d be making an announcement of the replacement on Wednesday.
Die Antwoord will no longer be performing at Riot Fest 2019. We will be announcing their replacement tomorrow at 10am.
