Riot Fest Denver venue relocated following permit denial

According to a report from the Denver Post, Arapahoe County announced that they will not be issuing a permit to allow Riot Fest to take place this year at May Farms in Byers, Colorado. Riot Fest, however, has released a statement claiming that the festival will be held at a “nearby alternate location that will be announced early next week.” You can check out what they had to say below,

At a July 1 public hearing in the town of Byers, home to about 1,000 residents, locals raised concerns of traffic, noise and the “nasty things that are sold” at the festival. While last year's daily attendance garnered an estimated 15,000 daily ticket holders, that number is expected to reach around the 17,000 mark this year.

Riot Fest and Sideshow Denver will be held September 19-21, with names such as A Day To Remember, the Cure, Bring Me The Horizon and many, many more. Tickets are on sale now and will be honored at the new location.

Due to circumstances beyond our control and despite lots of support for Riot Fest & Sideshow in Byers, May Farms is no longer available to host Riot Fest. A nearby alternate location will be announced early next week. We know this sucks, we’re as disappointed as you are, but if you could be a little patient with us, we'll have more information ASAP. All tickets will be honored at the new location. Riot Fest in Denver is NOT canceled, the show will go on, and rock n roll never dies.”
