'Riverdale’ season 4 trailer launches hunt for missing Jughead

The Riverdale crew is returning for their senior year/season 4 of the show on the CW, and just dropped a chilling trailer to prepare us for all the drama to come.

The trailer centers around the characters looking for Jughead, but they have little-to-no leads on what could’ve happened to him.

However, it later reveals he’s possibly buried alive somewhere, but who really knows.

Besides Jughead’s disappearance, we see Betty getting hit in the head with a gun by an unknown attacker, which is given little context. Also, Veronica gets herself into some trouble again, and while it’s unclear the extent of her latest scandal, we know it can’t be good.

“To senior year and all of its glories,” Veronica (Camila Mendes) says in the trailer. Season 4 is sure to be an exciting one.

The fourth season drops on the CW Oct. 9. You can see the new trailer below.

More Riverdale news

Earlier this summer, Riverdale creator and Chief Creative Officer at Archie Comics Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa tweeted some weirdly similar promo shots. The posts contain Riverdale promo photos alongside shows such as The Order and Nancy Drew who share some uncanny similarities to the CW show.

Roberto posted three separate comparisons on his Twitter with the captions, “Posted.” “Without.” “Comment.”

Each post shows a Riverdale promo shot next to another similar shot from a different show.

Fans had mixed reactions to the unspoken accusation, with some claiming that Riverdale copied shows such as The Vampire Diaries.
