Grab your tissues, Riverdale fans. The show is scheduled to take a small hiatus before its Carrie-inspired musical episode, and our hearts are broken.

As reported by ComicBook.com, a recent show listing from the CW showed that the newest episodes of the show won't be airing for a couple of weeks. Of course, the mini hiatus won't last for very long. It looks like we'll only be without the show for the first couple of weeks in April, which is still not great—but we'll take a mini hiatus over an extended one anyday.

Don't worry though, in the new episodes' place will be old episodes of the show…well, at least one week that is.

“Chapter Twenty-Six: The Tell-Tale Heart” will be the April 4 repeat episode, while the following week, April 11, won't feature a episode of Riverdale at all. Rather, the CW will be premiering a 90-minute special titled Harry Potter: A History of Magic

While we're devastated we'll be neglected from our weekly dose of Riverdale drama, we can't say we're mad about a Harry Potter special.

This, of course, follows the news of the Stephen King-inspired episode that was previously reported. The musical episode, titled “A Night To Remember,” is set to be framed as a documentary by Jughead Jones.

“The Riverdale High Drama Department (RHDD), in conjunction with the Lodge Family, is pleased to present as its Spring Production, “Carrie: The Musical,” a dark-yet-catchy cautionary tale exploring the gritty realities of small-town high school life. Future Tony Winner Kevin Keller helms as director, combining iconic elements from the novel, 1976 movie, 1988 Broadway production, 2012 Off-Broadway revival, and 2013 remake to create a retro-yet-timeless interpretation of Stephen King’s horror classic. Additionally, a behind-the-scenes documentary following the making of “Carrie: The Musical” will be filmed by student videographer and journalist Jughead Jones.”

While this is set to be a documentary about Jughead, don't expect Cole Sprouse to be joining in on the musical action. In a previous report, we found out that Sprouse won't be singing his heart out on stage. Instead, he'll be doing “something quintessentially Jughead during the musical.”

“Cole and I talked about it a while ago, and I said, 'How do you feel about musicals?'” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa tells TVLine. “At that time, we were going to do Little Shop Of Horrors. And he basically said, 'Listen, I never sang for Disney. It would take a lot.'”

The episode is set to air April 18 at 8 p.m. and features 11 songs from the musical.
