Metal legend and acclaimed horror director Rob Zombie has been hard at work on a reboot of the classic TV show The Munsters. Since September, Zombie has been releasing small hints about what to expect from the upcoming series.

In his latest reveal, Zombie took to Instagram to showcase one of the characters from his upcoming project. The post offered a first look at Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, played by Richard Brake.

Zombie also cryptically hinted at the role of the character in the project.

“MUNSTERS UPDATE! ☠️ Here is your first look at Richard Brake on set as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang ☠️ Transylvania’s most popular Mad Scientist. I wonder what he has in store for our new world of Gods and Munsters ? ☠️ #themunsters #richardbrake #robzombie #sherimoonzombie #jeffdanielphillips #danielroebuck

In September, Zombie announced that he had rebuilt The Munsters’ iconic house on 1313 Mockingbird Lane. The director also rebuilt the homes of the family’s neighbors.

That reveal followed news in October, with a shot capturing beloved characters Herman Munster, Lily Munster and Count Dracula (aka “Grandpa”). The shot revealed the look of the three characters, played by Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie and Dan Roebuck, respectively.

If that image is any indication, Zombie is staying true to the show’s roots and recreating their familiar looks.
