Rumors have been circulating for months now that Rob Zombie has been planning to direct a follow-up to his 2005 film The Devil's Rejects, and it looks like those rumors aren't just rumors anymore.

Rumors for the upcoming film started a few months ago when it was reported that Zombie was planning to direct a follow-up to Devil's Rejects, with plans of shooting the film in March. The surprising, yet confusing, news came to a shock for fans of the film as the main characters, Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley), Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) and “Baby” (played by Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie), died after a police shootout at the end of Devil's Rejects (sorry guys, no spoiler warnings since the film is over a decade old).

But it looks like those rumors were true after all.

Shared via Instagram today, Zombie revealed that filming has now begun. Zombie posted a picture from set of a chair that has the official name for the upcoming horror film, Three From Hell.

“It's all true,” Zombie wrote. “Day One shooting Three From Hell! The murder and madness continues.”

While we're not super sure how the film will play out, we're sure Zombie will come up with an interesting way to explain how the Firefly trio is back.

As Bloody Disgusting reported previously, there's a possibilty the Zombie will be using some supernatural forces to bring these characters back to life—per the title of the upcoming film.

There's no set date for the newest film, but we're excited to see what Zombie will do next.
