Here’s everyone who won the rock Grammy awards

The Grammys are music’s biggest night, and some of our favorites were up for some of the night’s biggest awards.

Three big categories for our scene are Best Rock Album, Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.

Best Rock Performance went to the late Chris Cornell for his performance of “When Bad Does Good.” He beat out Arctic Monkeys, Halestorm, The Fever 333 and Greta Van Fleet.

 

Greta Van Fleet did, however, take home the Grammy for their album From The Fires. They beat out Fall Out Boy, Alice In Chains, Weezer and Ghost. It was the band’s first ever Grammy award.

The award for Best Rock Song went to Jack Antonoff and Annie Clark for their writing on the St. Vincent track “Masseduction.” They beat out “Rats” by Ghost, “Black Smoke Rising” by Greta Van Fleet, “Jumpsuit” by twenty one pilots and “MANTRA” by Bring Me The Horizon.

The Grammy for Best Metal Performance went to High On Fire for “Electric Messiah.” They beat Deafheaven, Trivium, Underoath and Between The Buried And Me.

The Grammys aired Sunday on CBS, live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and were hosted by Alicia Keys.
