'Rock Band 4' to be released later this year
The wait is finally over: After almost five years of silence, Rock Band 4 is coming and it'll be here sooner than you think. Harmonix, the development company behind the Rock Band franchise, posted an official press release today claiming that game will debut later this year (via Polygon).

One of the Harmonix's major points is that the game will support all of your previously purchased downloadable content.
“With Rock Band 4, we’re doubling down on the energy and excitement of playing music live with your friends,” says Harmonix Chief Executive Officer Steve Janiak. “Focusing on the core experience that our fans have told us they love allows us to evolve established gameplay in meaningful ways that we can’t wait to share with everyone later this year.”
