Ferrell’s character treated viewers to ventriloquism, stand-up, and anecdotes about knife fights among other things. Watch the clips in the players below!
While each segment was different, Burgundy appeared in the same turtleneck and scarf in each one. With the same outfit appearing in each video, it only added to the surreality of the entire thing.
This is the first time anyone has appeared on this many network late-night show at the same time. Not that long ago, it was uncommon for celebs to appear on more than one late-night show as they battled for guests who didn’t want to overexpose themselves.
That era is clearly over after this stunt.
Some viewers were clearly confused how it was pulled off and learned the magic of pre-recording shows.
Wait was #RonBurgundy in NYC with @StephenAtHome @jimmyfallon and in LA with @JimmyKimmelLive @ConanOBrien on the same day. I thought it would be green screen. Did he take a freggin rocket across the country? OR these shows are prerecorded. ? ? Mind blown #MYSTERYguest pic.twitter.com/cZtJ1Mp76o

Flipping between channels tonight, I see #RonBurgundy was on every single late night talk show. That must have been one hell of a booking feat – his agent definitely earned his percentage. Either that, or he’s been cloned.
