Saosin update fans: "We will still be writing new music and working towards a great future"

In light of guitarist Justin Shekoski's recent announcement of temporarily joining the Used while they're on tour, he has updated fans on Saosin's current state. Despite his new engagements, he claimed Saosin “will still be writing new music and working towards a great future.” You can read all of what he had to say below.

The band performed a handful of reunion shows on the West Coast in 2014. They also spent some time writing new material and recently played a new song live.

Would you like to see the band put out new material with Anthony Green? Or did you like it better when Cove Reber fronted Saosin? Leave us a comment with your thoughts!

Hello Everyone,

Just played the first show with The Used. Wait, let me start over. Lots has happened. It’s been an exciting month to say the least. After a week of rehearsal, a quick (and extremely fun) Saosin tour and a long flight, I have arrived in the UK….with a new band.

As you may or may not have heard, I have been asked to join forces with The Used to play some great music and be a part of their incredible family. I’m extremely humbled by the opportunity to play alongside not only such great musicians but such excellent people. They have all been beyond welcoming.

The first show was tonight and was an absolute blast, to say the least. I can’t wait to play more shows and do what I love to do most, play music.

I also wanted to say, as far as Saosin goes, nothing’s changing. We will still be writing new music and working towards a great future. Saosin is a group of brothers that all have different things, projects and schedules going on. This will just be one more schedule to work around. Luckily, quite a bit of The Used schedule is parallel with Circa Survive. So possibly, you can see Anthony play with Circa Survive and me with The Used in the same month. I hope to see a lot of you!

Thank you for all of the support so far, I can’t wait to see all of my old friends and meet tons of new ones on the road very soon.

See you in the not so distant future,

Love,

Justin Shekoski
