‘Saw’ creator wants to reboot ‘Leprechaun’ horror franchise

The creator of Saw wants to reboot the Leprechaun horror franchise just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

Director Darren Bousman took to Twitter to remind his fans of his dream of remaking the franchise with his own spin.

it’s that time of year again where I remind my good friends at @Lionsgate that I still want to reboot the Leprechaun movie (AGAIN),” he wrote on Twitter. “Lep gets in a time machine and goes back to the Colorado Gold Rush.  You guys have my number, I’ll be sitting by the phone.”

In other news, two other Saw writers are currently taking on the sixth installment of Final Destination.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the sixth Final Destination film will not be a reboot. In other words, it will not include any of the original characters or continue as a sequel. Instead, it is being pegged as a “re-imagining.”

Plot details for the forthcoming installment have yet to be revealed. However, with Melton and Dunstan heading the project, we can expect the Final Destination series to come back scarier than ever.
