See how 'AHS' star Emma Roberts confirmed the name of her first child
Back in December, reports emerged that American Horror Story star Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund had welcomed their first child together.
Now, Roberts has shared the first photo of her newborn baby. As well, we finally know what name the couple has chosen for their son.

After much speculation, Emma Roberts finally confirmed she was expecting her first child with Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy, Friday Night Lights) back in August. Then, in December, TMZ reported that Roberts gave birth on Sunday, Dec. 27. At the time, it was also reported that Roberts and Hedlund picked the unique name of Rhodes for their newborn.
This week, Roberts introduced her son to the world by unveiling his first-ever photo on Instagram. As well, she took the opportunity to officially confirm the newborn’s full name – Rhodes Robert Hedlund.

Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson, Reese Witherspoon, Ashley Tisdale and Twilight‘s Taylor Lautner are among the familiar faces to leave comments on Roberts’ Instagram post. As well, her American Horror Story co-star Billie Lourd also congratulated the new mom in the comments section.
Lourd welcomed her first child with her fiance Austen Rydell back in September. Their newborn’s name honors Lourd’s late mother and legendary Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher.
Throughout her pregnancy, Roberts continued to stay busy on numerous projects. Her new film Holidate premiered exclusively on Netflix during the holidays. As well, Roberts is producing a new vampire series for the streaming platform. First Kill is based on the vampire-filled young adult short story from author Victoria “V. E.” Schwab.

So far, it has not been confirmed whether or not Roberts is returning for American Horror Story season 10. However, Sarah Paulson previously confirmed that filming for the new season began last fall following various delays.
Due to Roberts’ pregnancy, it’s possible she opted out of appearing in the upcoming season. As well, there’s speculation that a controversial plot from a previous season may make a return in the new season.
Back in October, fans got their first look at American Horror Story season 10 with a new series poster. The poster led to a slew of theories that a potential crossover could happen in the new episodes. However, creator Ryan Murphy quickly squashed all of those rumors.
Joining Paulson for season 10 are Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross and Finn Wittrock. Macaulay Culkin will also be joining as an AHS newcomer. At this time, AHS season 10 does not have a confirmed release date.
Along with American Horror Story, Murphy is also launching the spinoff series American Horror Stories. In November, Murphy dropped the show’s official poster and confirmed plenty of familiar AHS faces are returning for the spinoff.
