See how Marvel honored Chadwick Boseman in new ‘Black Panther’ intro
Nov. 29, 2020 would’ve been Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman‘s 44th birthday.
In light of his sudden passing back in August, both his Marvel co-stars and Disney came together to honor the talented actor’s birthday over the weekend.

On Sunday, touching tributes poured out online on what would’ve been Chadwick Boseman’s 44th birthday. Various Marvel fans flocked to Twitter to help celebrate the late actor’s birthday with old photos and plenty of montages.

As well, his Marvel co-stars came together to share various tributes. His Black Panther co-stars Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan both honored Boseman’s birthday with special posts.

Mark Ruffalo also shared a never-before-seen moment from the set of Avengers: Infinity War. The Hulk actor managed to capture a heartfelt moment on set where the cast and crew helped celebrate Boseman’s birthday. The clip shows everyone singing happy birthday to the late actor before embracing him in a flood of hugs.

Disney also shared a touching tribute in honor of Boseman’s birthday. The opening credit scene for Black Panther has been reimagined to feature various clips of the late actor from over the years. The new video will be played at the start of Black Panther‘s future films.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is preparing to start shooting Black Panther 2 in Atlanta next year. Filming for the highly-anticipated movie is set to begin in July 2021 and last at least six months. Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett are expected to return for the new film.

Despite the filming plans in place, many fans are wondering what is in store for the Black Panther franchise following the death of Boseman. Some theorize that Wright’s Shuri will become the new Black Panther as this storyline is played out in the comics. However, it is still too soon to tell how Marvel plans to approach Black Panther 2.
Viola Davis, Common and Jimmy Fallon also helped celebrate Boseman’s birthday over the weekend.
