Shane Blay says he’s not leaving Oh, Sleeper for new As I Lay Dying project

Recently, the members of As I Lay Dying (who are not Tim Lambesis) announced their new project, Wovenwar, which will feature Shane Blay of Oh, Sleeper on vocals. Fans of Oh, Sleeper grew concerned over wording in the band’s press release that described Blay as “previously lead guitar/clean vocals in Oh, Sleeper.” Naturally, fans assumed he was leaving the band. But now, Blay has come out and disputed those claims, saying, “As long as Oh, Sleeper is a band, I’ll be in it.”

Archers:
Shane here,
To put to rest the rumors that I'm leaving Oh Sleeper I tell you this: Micah and I started this band 8 years ago and have stayed with it through the thick and thin. That is still the case. Its tattoo'd on my chest for crying out loud. As long as Oh Sleeper is a band, I'll be in it.

So, it looks like he'll be doing both bands. Wovenwar will release their debut self-titled album this summer via Metal Blade Records. The album’s first single, “All Rise,” will be out April 21.
