First, in a previous interview, Mark Hoppus uses the exact phrase, “everything opposite” when talking about their album-making process:

We had this idea of everything opposite: Whatever you’d normally do, try and do something different,” Hoppus says. “If something made us feel like it wasn’t something we wouldn’t normally do, we took it as a good thing. We were trying to get away from traditional recording techniques and embracing strange keyboard sounds and ratty, shitty guitars, buzzy subs and programmed drums.”

Additionally, the listed record label for the band’s debut EP, Strange Love is “Everything Opposite.”

However, the mind games don’t stop there. In a live video for the power duo’s show at the Belasco in Los Angeles, a video shows the band playing an all-new song “Never Mind.” in the video’s description, it says the song is from their second EP Everything Opposite.

Additionally, fans seem to have somewhat confirmed the EP’s title on various social media platforms.
