Slayer reveal ‘The Repentless Killogy’ theatrical debut date

Slayer have announced the theatrical release of their narrative short film Slayer: The Repentless Killogy.

The film is directed by BJ McDonnell, who directed three music videos for Slayer’s tracks “You Against You,” “Repentless” and “Pride in Prejudice”.

Part one of the trilogy begins with a short narrative film that utilizes those three Slayer videos as one chronological storyline. The main character is Wyatt, a former Neo Nazi who’s part of a gang called “The Hand Brotherhood”. Their signature marking is a bloody handprint that they leave after a murder.

When we set out to do these initial three videos, our intention was to continue the saga of Slayer and Wyatt at some point down the line,” McDonnel said. “But this is the band’s final album and world tour so this story, the three videos and the “Repentless” live concert at The Forum, is a perfect way to wrap up.  This is the end of the monsters.”

Many of the actors who starred in the original video series will appear in the film, such as Jason Trost as Wyatt, Danny Trejo, Richard Speight, Derek Mears and more.

The second part of the trilogy will show the live performance by the band at the Los Angeles Forum on August 5, 2017. It’s directed by Wayne Isham. The performance is full of fan-favorite tracks as part of the epic set.

After the theatrical release, the film will be available digitally and on Blu-Ray on November 8. Also, they will release the soundtrack on vinyl and CD.
