“Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6 and our upcoming shows around the world—our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life. Long live the knot.”

Fehn has been with the band since their 1999 self-titled debut. However, at this time, he hasn’t released a statement of his own.

As mentioned, Fehn was allegedly suing the band over reportedly not being properly compensated for his time touring with the band, according to the Blast.

In the Blast’s report, Fehn claims the rest of the band aren’t sharing profit fairly in the merchandise and touring aspects. After finding several separate companies that are reportedly receiving Slipknot-related profits, Fehn decided to file suit when he noticed that he wasn’t being compensated monetarily across the multiple companies.

According to the Blast, Fehn didn’t have knowledge of more than one single company taking care of the profits from touring and merch. Originally, Fehn thought one company would handle all of the profits and then properly disperse the money among the band. That said, Fehn says that he hasn’t seen any of the money that has reportedly been coming in through the other alleged companies.

In the report, Fehn points the finger toward frontman Corey Taylor and fellow percussionist Clown for the suspicious business relations. To compensate for the alleged damages, Fehn wishes to see Slipknot undergo full forensic accounting on all of their assets and companies.

Following the alleged lawsuit news, Taylor recently took to Twitter to put out a drama-inducing tweet, in which many people think is related to the newfound beef with Fehn.

“You’re gonna read a lot of bullshit today,” Taylor says in the tweet. “This is all I’ll say. JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT. Long Live The Knot.”

That said, this is the first official statement of any kind made by any members of the band. Additionally, Taylor’s tweet above could be interpreted as regarding the entire report in general, or the alleged lawsuit.

Slipknot released their most recent single, “All Out Life,” on Halloween, marking their first in four years. Since then, the band have shared plenty of studio teasers.

The band also recently announced a massive North American tour. The band hasn’t commented on if someone will fill in for Fehn.

The Knotfest Roadshow North American tour kicks off this July with support from Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth. Tickets are on sale now, and you can check out a list of dates below.
