Slipknot earn third No. 1 on Billboard 200 with 'We Are Not Your Kind'
Slipknot are making waves on the Billboard charts with their recently released album, We Are Not Your Kind. The band have beat out Trippie Redd, Billie Eilish, Drake and Lizzo to secure the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

This marks the band’s third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, earning 118,000 equivalent album units in its first week. Out of that sum, 102,000 were album sales.
We Are Not Your Kind was released August 9 via Roadrunner Records and follows the band’s 2014 album .5: The Gray Chapter.
Slipknot saw a major boost in album sales thanks to a concert ticket/album redemption offer that coincided with their recent tour.
The album also marks the first hard rock record to lead the Billboard 200 since 2017 when Foo Fighters’ album Concrete and Gold hit No. 1.
Billie Eilish formerly held the top spot with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.
Slipknot are currently topping the list ahead of Lizzo, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Chris Brown, Khalid and more.

Slipknot recently landed their first number one record in the UK in 18 years, beating out Ed Sheeran‘s No.6 Collaborations Project for the top spot.
The band’s new record snagged the top spot after making over 31,800 chart sales in its first week of release.
The album is the band’s fifth consecutive album to land in the top five, with Iowa being their only other album to get the UK No. 1 spot.
This also marks the UK’s fifth heavy metal record to get the top spot this decade. The others include Iron Maiden‘s The Book Of Souls and The Final Frontier, Avenged Sevenfold‘s Hail To The King and Black Sabbath‘s 13.
