Slipknot's '.5: The Gray Chapter' debuts at No. 1 on Billboard charts

Last week Slipknot released their fifth full-length album, .5: The Gray Chapter, to the masses. Now, a full seven days later, sales numbers are in and the band have officially debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart by selling around 132,000 copies of the record. As Lambgoat pointed out, this is the group's second time atop the charts, with their previous full-length effort, All Hope Is Gone, debuting at number No. 1 by selling just under 240,000 in its first week.

You can stream .5: The Gray Chapter below. Are you surprised to see the band topping the charts?

Slipknot will be on tour this year with Korn and King 810. If you missed it, check out their new masks in their latest music video for “The Devil In I,” and hear all the other new singles on AltPress.
