Snapchat is testing a new 'official' section for verified users
If you use Snapchat mainly to keep up with your favorite celebrities and internet personalities, you’ll definitely appreciate Snapchat’s latest update.
The company has decided to test out a new addition to its “Stories” section in the form of a new area dedicated to verified accounts. The “Official Stories” section sorts stories from regular users into the new header to ensure users know exactly who the Snap stories they’re viewing come from.

Some users have already begun seeing the section in their own Snapchat apps, and they've been posting evidence to social media. Snap has confirmed that this is indeed a real test, likely tied to the fact that the company is working on expanding its verified accounts to slide “influencers” and other users who make waves in the community. You may have already seen verified celebrity accounts in the past like Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian, who are already privy to some of the new updates.

If you haven’t seen the update in your Snap yet, rest assured you may very well see it rolling out soon. It should be a lot easier to keep up with some of your faves this way at least, and it’s a heck of a lot easier than just “adding” them as friends because we all know they’re not going to be adding us back.
