'Solo' shows something that 'Star Wars' fans haven't seen before

Donald Glover says that Solo: A Star Wars Story is going to show moviegoers an aspect of the Star Wars universe they've never seen before—namely, the specifics in the layout of Han Solo's signature ship, the Millennium Falcon.

Glover, who plays Lando Calrissian in the upcoming film, revealed the illuminating info at a recent press conference for the Television Critics Association, according to ComicBook.com. Recalling one of his first days on set with director Ron Howard, the Solo star says there's one particular shot that's never been broached in the Star Wars franchise.
“[Howard] was like, 'Yeah, I want to follow you onto the Millennium Falcon and do this thing,'” Glover says. “I was like, 'I don't think I've ever seen the outside go into the inside.' He's like, 'Yeah, no one's ever done that shot.' As a fan, I was like, yeah, I was really excited.” Basically, we'll get a more detailed look at the famous freighter in one continous shot.
And while we've watched the Millennium Falcon do its thing in the Star Wars saga for 40 years, Glover's right in that we've never been privy to this detail of the “the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.” Unless the scene gets cut, we'll finally get a look at the full-on boarding procedure for the Falcon.
And, hey, Glover's just as excited about Solo's release as the rest of us: “I know there's been a lot of talk in the press about this movie,” adds Glover, “but for me, anyway, it was a dream. And also it looks really cool to me.”
Solo hits theaters on May 25.
