"Something is happening" with The Format

The Format, former band of fun.'s Nate Ruess and Destry's Sam Means, have posted a vague tweet, hinting at new news.

The group announced an indefinite hiatus in 2008, and both Ruess and Means have been active with their respective new projects since, with fun. propelling Ruess to an unprecedented new level of fame and recognition.

The Format's final full-length, Dog Problems, was released in 2006.

Check out a new tweet from the group below:

Incidentally, the The Format's debut album, Interventions + Lullabies, was released exactly ten years ago today, on Oct. 21, 2003. Also, after this month, both Ruess and Means have schedules free of any outside performance obligations, clearing room for future Format activity, should that be the nature of today's announcement. We will keep you posted as news develops.

Do you think the announcement will be some sort of re-release, anniversary tour, or something different entirely? Would you like to see a Format reunion? Let us know in the comments!
