Power metal vocalist loses drunken bet with band, has to walk 320 miles to next gig

Joakim Brodén, vocalist for Swedish speed metal outfit Sabaton, recently lost a drunken bet with his bandmates and now has to walk 320 miles to their next gig, which will take place October 1 at Trondheim Metal Fest in Trondheim, Norway. “It started out almost as a joke, but it evolved to be quite serious,” said Brodén. ”Now I will take a few days rest. I have made contact with some fans via Facebook, who have provided me with food and shelter,” (via Blabbermouth).

He added, “The first day was the hardest. That’s when I walked for ten hours without proper shoes. It wasn't exactly ideal.”

If nothing else, respect to Brodén is rightfully due. Sabaton’s most recent studio album, Heroes, is out now.
