‘Spider-Man 3’ has a shocking moment that not even the cast saw coming

Last month, Tom Holland confirmed that filming for Spider-Man 3 is finally underway. Since then, the entire cast has finally gotten their hands on the top-secret script.

Now, thanks to Jacob Batalon, it looks like fans can expect to see plenty of surprises in the upcoming Marvel film.

Due to the secret nature of the Marvel film franchise, many actors don’t receive the official movie scripts until close to the start of production. Since filming is currently underway for Spider-Man 3 in Atlanta, the entire cast was recently given access to the top-secret script.

Last week, Holland revealed that he has read what happens in the new Spider-Man film, but fans shouldn’t expect any spoilers from him anytime soon. However, Batalon is giving fans a rare glimpse into just what the new film may hold.

Batalon, who plays Peter Parker‘s best friend Ned, recently read the Spider-Man 3 script and it looks like he has a lot of thoughts on it. The actor shared on Instagram his shocking reaction to one particular scene in the script. Although no official spoilers were revealed, it appears Spider-Man 3 has some surprises not even the actors expected.

Although Marvel has managed to keep most of the Spider-Man 3 secrets under lock and key, a few have spilled in recent weeks. So far, we’ve learned that Benedict Cumberbatch is reprising his role as Doctor Strange for the Marvel film. Doctor Strange is set to become Peter Parker‘s new mentor following Tony Stark’s death in Avengers: Endgame.

As well, Jamie Foxx is bringing back the villainous Electro for Spider-Man 3. However, Foxx may not be the only familiar face making a return. Rumors are swirling that both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire may be reprising their Peter Parker roles for Spider-Man 3.

Last month, Sony finally addressed these casting rumors. In a brief statement to ET Canada, the company said that these castings “are not confirmed.” However, this could still mean that the actors are in talks to return for the film.

Spider-Man 3 is set to arrive on Dec. 17, 2021. However, according to ScreenRant, the first look at the new film may be arriving sooner than you think. Last month, ExpoCine held its annual Latin America-based event virtually. Warner Bros., Disney, Universal, Netflix and Sony all appeared at the convention.

At the event, Camila Pacheco, who is the Executive Marketing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment in Brazil, revealed that the film has already started production. Additionally, fans can expect a first look to arrive this December, a full year before the film is scheduled to premiere.

Even though filming is currently underway, Holland still found time to give back to one Spider-Man fan recently. For Halloween, Holland teamed up with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to help Jerry, a young heart transplant patient, become Spider-Man in a special new video.
