Welcome to your meme-history lesson. The original meme has origins in the “Double Identity” episode of the 1967 animated Spider-Man series. It was previously used as a gag in a post-credits scene for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and now it has its own live-action adaptation.
The official Spider-Man Twitter account posted the photo to announce Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming to digital platforms March 22, with physical copies hitting shelves April 12. The special features will include over 80 minutes of new and behind-the-scenes content.
This may not be the last we see of all three Spider-Man actors together. Holland recently spoke to Variety about the possibility of another crossover movie with all three web-slingers. “Could it happen? Of course it could happen,” Holland says. “We’ve done it once before. Will it happen? I don’t know.”
of course, we got THE meme. #SpiderManNoWayHome swings home on Digital March 22 and on 4K UHD & Blu-ray on April 12!
