We reported earlier this summer that Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie had written music for a forthcoming SpongeBob Squarepants musical, and now we’ve seen SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy come to life.

The musical actually made its debut in Chicago last summer, and it’ll be moving to the Palace Theater on Broadway this winter.

Not to mention, Brendon Urie wrote the song “(Just A) Simple Sponge,” and you can purchase it here. Watch a clip of him singing the tune (and confirming he is a fan of SpongeBob) below!

“Anyone who knows me is aware of my love of both Broadway and animation,” Urie tells EW. “I’m so happy I was able bring a song to life that marries two of my favorite things for the SpongeBob SquarePants Broadway musical.”
